Free Online Bible Studies Teaching Simple Study Methods

Posted by adventbiblestudy on June 2, 2012

I’ve always appreciated people with the ability to arrange a Bible Study. For my first 25 years as a Christian, I knew only one person able to teach people how to prepare their own Bible Studies. He taught the simple word method. I spent years collecting data on Bible Study, posting it on my Web Site and sharing what I have learned with others. I have also known a number of people like you using a simple inductive method, comparing scripture which is the same, similar, or related. Few if any of these people understood Bible Study to a degree capable of teaching others. There is a world of difference between sharing a prepared study and teaching others how to study on their own. It is difficult to learn Bible Study methods to the degree you are capable of teaching others.

With God’s perfect timing I met one person dedicated to teaching all Christians how to develop a deeper relationship with God through the personal study of His Word. I had read his book, “Handbook for Bible Study,” by Dr. Lee J. Gugliotto years ago, but never thought I would have the opportunity to actually study with Dr. Lee. Over the past several months I have learned a number of important Bible Study methods opening up the detailed Words of the Lord to a degree I had never imagined. One of his simplest methods teaches how to understand proper context by conducting an inductive study within a single chapter. Taking a few verses at a time, paying particular attention to how the author transitions from one text to the next, while identify words which are repeated, similar, and related opens up a new understanding of each chapter.

Best of all, Dr. Lee shares and teaches Bible Study on the Internet for FREE. He conducts classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 10:30 AM Eastern, 7:30 AM Pacific time. At the present time we are studying the book of Exodus. Studies are also held on Tuesday evenings at 9:00 PM Eastern, 6:00 PM Pacific time studying the Heavenly Sanctuary and the Tabernacle in book of Hebrews.

We would like to invite you to join these classes. If you like what you hear, please take the time to share it with others, helping everyone to develop the personal relationship God has always been seeking with His people.
