Genocide in the Middle East
I was shocked to listen to this story on the radio. After watching years of war in sections of the Middle East, someone decided to put a name on what should have been termed murder a long time ago.
Years passed as people were murdered everyday. Millions of lives have been lost. Yet leaders saw nothing more than an opportunity to make a name for themselves, add their names to the pages of history, and exhibit their authority. After years of murder and worse, someone claiming authority to make a statement, decided to call murder genocide, and fight it with a written resolution.
What is it with these elections in 2016? Is this a way of God calling us back to Himself? Did God set this up to show us, this is the best America has to offer? Is this a way to show us, we have a choice. We can either trust in candidates running for president, while seats in congress and the house of representatives go mostly uncontested — Or we can turn to God and place our trust where it belongs. Some of God’s most important lessons are taught with contrasts. When I look at those leading candidates, I can’t miss the contrast between them and God.
