A Bed Too Short Isaiah 28

Isaiah 28:20 KJV For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.
This prophecy in Isaiah contains a number of key words. This study will interpret only one, the word bed.
A physical bed is used for two things, rest and a relationship. The Bible reveals both a spiritual relationship, and a spiritual rest.
Psalms 63:6 KJV When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
Song of Solomon 3:1 KJV (1) By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
Ezekiel 23:17 KJV And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom, and she was polluted with them, and her mind was alienated from them.
Isaiah 57:2 KJV He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.
Isaiah provides the connection between bed and rest. It is easy to find the spiritual meaning of rest.
Leviticus 23:3 KJV Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
Luke 23:56 KJV And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment.
This prophecy tells about a Sabbath that is too short. What is the spiritual meaning of shorter? I will let you find the answer yourself. The question should be, what day is the Lord’s Sabbath on?
Exodus 20:10 KJV But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Since the Lord’s Sabbath is on the seventh day, the next question is, which day of the week is shorter than the seventh? I will also let you find the answer to that question.
Here is another prophecy you can interpret.
Isaiah 57:7-9 KJV Upon a lofty and high mountain hast thou set thy bed: even thither wentest thou up to offer sacrifice. (8) Behind the doors also and the posts hast thou set up thy remembrance: for thou hast discovered thyself to another than me, and art gone up; thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made thee a covenant with them; thou lovedst their bed where thou sawest it. (9) And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase thyself even unto hell.
